General Rental Terms

All customers must review and agree to the applicable boat rental rules before booking or using any Just Do Fun rental. These terms help protect customers, passengers, pets, rental equipment, vessels, and the overall rental experience.

Rental availability may vary based on date, time, weather, staffing, vessel type, water conditions, safety concerns, and equipment availability. Just Do Fun may delay, reschedule, refuse, or cancel a rental when safety, policy, or operating conditions require it.

Customers must provide accurate booking information, arrive on time, follow staff instructions, and ask questions before launch if anything is unclear. Failure to follow these terms may result in denied rental access, a shortened rental, added charges, or loss of deposit.

These boat rental terms in Jersey City apply to all rental categories offered by Just Do Fun.

Motorized Touring Boats

Booking, Check-In, and Customer Responsibilities

Customers must complete all required booking and check-in steps before rental use. Please arrive on time for your scheduled rental. Late arrival may reduce your rental time and may not change the rental price.

Before launch, customers must review the rental details, capacity limits, safety requirements, deposit terms, fuel policy, and add-on details that apply to their booking. Customers are responsible for asking questions before launch if any rule, fee, or requirement is unclear.

During the rental, customers are responsible for the vessel, rented equipment, passengers, pets, and personal items. Customers must follow all staff instructions, boating rules, safety requirements, approved use areas, and Hudson River rental policy guidelines provided by Just Do Fun.

Rental Duration and Approved Use

Rental duration depends on the rental type selected. Motorized boats and fishing trips are priced by the hour. SUPs and rowboats may be rented for 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, full day, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.

Eligible vessels may also be used directly within the park area, based on rental rules, availability, safety guidance, and staff approval.

Rental time begins at the scheduled booking time unless Just Do Fun states otherwise. Late returns may result in additional charges. Customers must remain within approved use areas and must follow all rental instructions during the full rental period.

Rental Pricing and Passenger Fees

Rental pricing varies by vessel type, rental length, customer status, and selected add-ons. Customers should confirm the total estimated cost before booking.

Motorized Touring Boats

Capacity: Motorized touring boats can carry up to 6 passengers.

Fishing Trips

Capacity: Fishing trips can include up to 3 people.

Fishing Trip Schedule:

• Morning trip: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Afternoon trip: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM

SUP and Rowboat Rentals

Passenger Fee: $5 per person

Kids 12 and Under: Ride free

*Prices may not include security deposits, fuel costs, rental add-ons, insurance protection, taxes, service fees, damage charges, cleaning charges, late return charges, or other applicable costs. Customers should confirm the final cost before booking.

Boat rental deposits apply to protect vessels, equipment, accessories, and the rental process. Deposit amounts vary by rental type.

Membership Deposit Benefits

Premium Membership may include an automatic reduced security deposit for motorized rentals. Elite Protection Membership includes an automatic reduced $500 deposit for touring boats and fishing trips, plus an automatic reduced $100 deposit for SUPs and rowboat rentals.

Deposits may be used to cover damage, lost items, missing equipment, late returns, cleaning needs, pet-related mess, fuel issues, policy violations, or other rental-related costs. Additional charges may apply if costs exceed the deposit amount.

Deposit terms may vary based on rental type, membership status, booking details, customer eligibility, and rental conditions.

Boat Rental Memberships

Just Do Fun offers boat rental memberships for customers who want easier check-in, booking benefits, deposit support, and added value.

Basic Membership

Price: $25 per year

Benefits:

• Waives the standard $10 non-member rental surcharge
• Faster check-in process
• Member-only booking access during peak days

Premium Membership

Price: $50 per year

Benefits:

• Automatic reduced security deposit
• No additional $20 reduction fee required for motorized rentals
• Priority reservations during busy weekends
• Discounted add-on equipment pricing
• Preferred member support

Elite Protection Membership

Price: $100 per year

Benefits:

• Automatic reduced $500 deposit for touring boats and fishing trips
• Automatic reduced $100 deposit for SUPs and rowboat rentals
• Includes up to $2 million aggregate liability coverage
• VIP booking priority
• Complimentary safety equipment package
• Member-only promotional discounts
• Priority access to premium boats and upgraded equipment

Memberships are annual unless stated otherwise. Benefits may apply based on availability, rental type, booking status, customer eligibility, and current company policies.

Rental Insurance Options and Liability Coverage

Rental insurance options are available for customers who want added coverage during their rental.

Protection Pricing:

• Members: $10
• Non-members: $12

Coverage Included:

$1 million aggregate liability coverage

Optional Upgrade:

Add $3 for $2 million aggregate liability coverage

Elite Protection Membership includes up to $2 million aggregate liability coverage.

Insurance protection does not remove all customer responsibility. Customers must still follow boat rental safety requirements, rental rules, capacity limits, fuel policy, pet rules, staff instructions, and all applicable terms. Please ask about protection options before booking if you have questions.

Boat Rental Fuel Policy

Customers are responsible for replacing all fuel used during an applicable rental or trip. This boat rental fuel policy applies to motorized rentals and fishing trips.

A fuel handling service fee of $2 per gallon applies. Fuel costs and fuel handling fees may be separate from the rental price, deposit, add-ons, or insurance protection.

Failure to follow the fuel policy may result in additional charges.

Boat Rental Safety Requirements

Safety is part of every rental experience at Just Do Fun. Customers must follow all boat rental safety requirements, staff instructions, capacity limits, and rental rules.

Safety orientation is required before eligible rentals. Safety equipment is included where applicable.

SUP Rental Safety Includes:

• Paddle
• Leash
• Safety equipment

Rowboat Rental Safety Includes:

• Oars
• Safety equipment
• Safety orientation

Customers must comply with local boating and fishing requirements. Unsafe behavior, reckless use, failure to follow instructions, or policy violations may result in rental denial, early termination, added charges, or loss of deposit.

Weather, water conditions, safety concerns, and availability may affect rental use.

Capacity Limits and Passenger Rules

Customers must provide accurate passenger counts before rental use. Passenger limits may be enforced for safety, comfort, and compliance.

Motorized Touring Boats: Maximum 6 passengers

Fishing Trips: Maximum 3 people

SUPs and Rowboats: Capacity and passenger rules may vary by vessel and rental type.

Passenger Fee: A $5 per person passenger fee may apply.

Kids 12 and Under: Kids 12 and under ride free.

Overloading a vessel is not allowed. Customers who provide inaccurate passenger counts or exceed capacity limits may be denied rental use or charged additional fees.

Pet-Friendly Boat Rental Rules

Pets are welcome on eligible rentals when customers follow pet-friendly boat rental rules.

Pet Rules:

• Pets must be approved for the rental type.
• Each pet must have a life vest provided by the owner.
• Each pet must have a dedicated handler.
• Pet owners are responsible for pet behavior and safety.
• Customers must notify Just Do Fun before bringing a pet.
• Pets may be refused if safety requirements are not met.

Pet-related damage, mess, cleaning needs, or rule violations may result in additional charges. Pet owners remain responsible for their pets at all times.

Rental Add-Ons and Equipment Terms

Rental add-ons are available to help customers prepare for comfort, storage, fishing, waterproof protection, and longer outings. Add-ons are subject to availability.

Customers are responsible for all rented accessories and equipment during the rental period. Lost, damaged, misused, missing, or late-returned equipment may result in additional charges.

Fishing Boat Rental Terms

Fishing boat rental terms apply to all recreational fishing trips booked through Just Do Fun.

Fishing trips are available for spring and fall fishing experiences, based on scheduling, safety, and availability. Morning trips run from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Afternoon trips run from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Resident pricing is $30 per hour. Non-resident pricing is $35 per hour. Fishing trips can include up to 3 people. A $5 per person passenger fee may apply, and kids 12 and under ride free.

Fishing add-ons are optional and subject to availability. Customers must follow fishing rules, safety guidance, fuel policy, staff instructions, and all rental requirements.

SUP Rental Terms and Rowboat Rental Terms

SUP rental terms and rowboat rental terms apply to all non-motorized paddleboard and inflatable rowboat rentals.

SUP Rental Terms

SUP rentals include a paddle, leash, safety equipment, and safety orientation. SUPs may be rented for 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, full day, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.

A security deposit applies. Deposit reduction options may be available. Customers must follow safety requirements, passenger rules, rental time limits, approved use areas, and staff instructions.

Rowboat Rental Terms

Rowboat rentals include oars, safety equipment, and safety orientation. Rowboats may be rented for 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, full day, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.

A security deposit applies. Deposit reduction options may be available. Pet-friendly rowboat rentals may be available when customers follow all pet safety rules. Customers must follow safety requirements, passenger rules, rental time limits, approved use areas, and staff instructions.

Weather, Water Conditions, and Availability

Rentals may be affected by weather, water conditions, safety concerns, staffing, vessel availability, gear availability, or other operating factors.

Just Do Fun may delay, reschedule, refuse, shorten, or cancel rentals when conditions are unsafe or when rental requirements cannot be met. Customers must follow staff decisions related to safety and rental use.

Vessels, add-ons, upgraded equipment, and membership benefits are subject to availability. Customers should confirm booking details before arrival.

Damage, Loss, Cleaning, and Late Return Policy

Customers are responsible for the vessel and equipment during the full rental period. Any damage, loss, missing gear, excessive cleaning, pet-related mess, policy violation, or late return may result in additional charges.

Deposits may be used to cover rental-related costs. If the cost of damage, loss, cleaning, late return, or policy violation exceeds the deposit amount, the customer may be responsible for additional payment.

Customers should report any issue, damage, missing item, or equipment concern to Just Do Fun as soon as possible.

Customer Conduct and Prohibited Use

Customers must act responsibly during all rentals. Unsafe, reckless, or rule-breaking behavior is not allowed.

Customers may not overload vessels, ignore staff instructions, misuse equipment, leave approved use areas, bring pets without following pet rules, or operate rentals in a way that creates safety risks.

Just Do Fun may refuse, delay, shorten, or end any rental if customer conduct creates safety concerns, policy violations, equipment risk, or customer service issues.
